FAQ

What is vaporhoning?

Combining water and abrasive together forms a slurry which is propelled at the part surface using compressed air. Abrasive selection is made based on desired surface roughness or aesthetical finish.

What size air compressor do I need?

An air compressor which produces between 15CFM – 20 CFM is ideal for most vapor blasting tasks.

What abrasives should I use to remove paint?

We recommend crush glass or aluminum oxide for removing coatings and tough contaminated surfaces 

Is there harmful chemicals?

  Eliminates the need to use nasty chemicals which are found in rebuild shops around the world. These chemicals come with costly disposal fees and hazardous work environments.

How long does abrasive last?

   water cushions the abrasive media being used this greatly extends abrasive life normally around 8-10 times longer than a dry blasting process.

How long is the turn around time for in house vapor honing services?

Once the parts have arrived at our location they will not be here no longer then a week .. turn around time including shipping is usual around two weeks, just depending on the customers location.
